Owusu Amaning is the President/Managing Principal of GCI, Inc., a consulting engineering firm. He has over 25 years of experience in project management, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, engineering inspection, and instrumentation of earthworks.

For the last 17 years, Owusu has worked in the State of Florida. He currently supervises all of GCI's operations at the Orlando International Airport. Under his leadership, GCI has provided services on several airside and landside projects at the Orlando International and Executive Airports. He also supervises GCI staff members who are working on the Orange County Convention Center and Orange County Jail projects. Before relocating to Florida, he worked with an engineering research agency in France on several civil/geotechnical engineering projects worldwide.

Owusu has served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Central Florida; the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida and the Global Business Advisory Board of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce. He was Chairman of City of Orlando’s Human Relations Board and sat on the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Board of Directors. He is currently on the Board of Governing Elders of Northland, A Church Distributed.

Owusu was born in Ghana, West Africa and earned his Master’s degree in France. He is married to Adwoa and has two daughters: Akua and Nana-yaa.

 

 

 
 
 
 
 

Steve served as a missionary to Africa from 1981 to 2004. During that time, he lived in the countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Republic of South Africa, and traveled extensively throughout the continent. Steve fulfilled numerous assignments during his stay in Africa: Church planter, District Superintendent, Field Director, Chairman of the board of the Theological College of Central Africa, Regional Church Development Coordinator, Regional Literature Coordinator, and Regional Leadership Development Coordinator. He also had the opportunity to be involved in opening the work of the Church of the Nazarene in the countries of Angola and Sao Tome & Principe.

Steve returned to the United States in 2004 to work at the Nazarene Global Ministries Center in Kansas City, Missouri. His responsibilities included being the Director of World Mission Literature and the International Coordinator of Leadership Development. Even though Steve’s role widened to include other world areas, his heart remained in Africa. Because of his passion and love for Africa, he readily accepted the invitation to work for Heart of Africa, where he served as Director of Development from 2006-2008.

Steve holds a Master of Divinity from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, and an MBA from the University of the Free State in the Republic of South Africa. Steve and his wife, Joanie, have a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Joanna, and a daughter, Christina.

 

 

 
 
 
 
 

Gus, whose home country is Sierra Leone, West Africa, has served since 1998 in various pastoral roles at Northland Church, Longwood, Florida. He studied at African Bible College in Liberia, West Africa, and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to coming to Northland he worked in radio broadcasting, education, Youth for Christ, Children of the Nations (COTN) and the pastorate.

Gus began at Northland as Associate Pastor of Evangelistic Outreach, helping to develop a variety of courses that help guide people to Christ and build a firm foundation of faith based on key and enduring truths from God’s Word. Since transitioning to the role of Global Ministries Pastor in fall of 2000, he has played a significant role in helping Northland connect, build and maintain relationships with its various partners and multi-cultural connections. One of the most significant events was in 2002, when over 200 Northlanders and friends made their way to serve in Namibia, Southern Africa.

In his current role as Pastor of Community Development, his responsibilities involve shepherding the congregation, helping people understand and connect with Northland, and connecting Northland with the local community. He is similarly involved with connecting lay leaders with international ministries such as Children of the Nations and Heart of Africa.

Paul is the managing principal of TenTalent Investments, a family office providing investment management services for high net worth individuals. He has eight years of market analysis and business decision experience, including six years as an internal consultant to the pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly. Prior to Lilly, he provided market analysis services for other U.S. and Japanese pharmaceutical companies. Before getting into the pharmaceutical industry, Paul served in sales and engineering positions in the aerospace industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Florida State University.

Paul came to believe in Christ when he was in his late twenties and is currently serving as the vice-president of his local church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He and his wife, Christin, have three children: Samuel, Margaret, and Noah.
